Writer (Contract)

We're looking for a writer to help with everything we do. Web, social, newsletter, blog, press releases, essentially anything using the alphabet. We're hot on someone who sees what we're doing and can take our messaging to the next level. You'll be responsible for humanizing scientific and dry data to make it approachable, interesting, yet "educational" for the masses.

 

 

What You’ll Do:

 

• Help us capture interesting stories that will inform and entertain our blog and newsletter readers

• Writing development for our videos

• Expand on our social voice

• Write 1 montly story (150-200 words each) or pitch engaging content for the next month’s email

• Contribute to weekly meetings

 

 

What You’ll Bring:

 

• The ability to create the tone of voice that hits our target demographics and then some

• An eye for humor and wit

• Desire to define the consumption landscape

• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in the digital media space

• Background or degree in writing or journalism

• Deep familiarity with consumption, wellness, health, science

• Passion for influencing and impacting the world through creative storytelling

• Ability to submit outstanding work on semi-ambitious deadlines

• Knack for startup and pop culture

• Coachability and willingness to improve

• Get stuff done attitude without needing helicopter management

• Bonus points if you have experience using CMS tools
